What is a POS system, and why replace the bill book?
A POS system is the software at your counter that bills the customer, takes payment, prints the receipt and records the sale. A cash register or bill book only records the money. Does your shop need FBR POS integration?
Your shop needs FBR POS integration if it is a Tier-1 retailer. That generally covers outlets of national or international brands and chains, shops in air-conditioned malls and plazas, and retailers whose electricity bills exceeded Rs 1.2 million over the last 12 months, among others. An integrated POS reports each sale to FBR and prints a receipt with an FBR verification QR code. Confirm your status with FBR or your tax advisor.
