For a shop or chain in Pakistan in 2026, the best POS software is one that integrates with FBR for real-time e-invoicing and keeps billing when the internet drops. Our picks: AmalERP for a POS that sits inside a full ERP, Candela for large retail chains, Moneypex or SadaHisab for the best value with FBR built in, and Foodnerd or Granet Pro for restaurants. Full disclosure: AmalERP is our product, so instead of trusting our ranking, this guide shows the real prices, FBR status and honest trade-offs of all 12 — including ours. Prices were checked in July 2026 and change often; confirm on each vendor's site before buying.
The dividing line: FBR POS integration
FBR requires many retailers — especially Tier-1 retailers (those in air-conditioned malls, with a card machine, a monthly electricity bill over Rs 1.2 million, or large/chain stores) — to integrate their POS with FBR's system so every receipt carries a real-time QR code and a unique FBR invoice number. Integration runs through PRAL and FBR's IRIS system, and provincial authorities (SRB in Sindh, PRA in Punjab, KPRA in KP) run parallel regimes. In 2026, SRO 288(I)/2026 widened these rules to pull in many service businesses too. So the single most important question when buying a POS in Pakistan is no longer features or price — it is: does this POS do native FBR digital invoicing, and does it keep working offline? International POS tools (Square, Shopify POS, Lightspeed, Loyverse) fail the first test entirely.

1. AmalERP — a POS inside a full ERP (our product)
AmalERP is our own product, so weigh this entry accordingly. Its POS is not a standalone till but a module inside a full cloud ERP: the sale you ring up posts straight to double-entry accounting and inventory in the same moment. It has a true offline mode that keeps billing through power and internet outages and syncs on reconnect, barcode scanning, multi-tender, returns and exchange, and multi-counter, multi-branch support. FBR is handled natively — the tax module links to FBR through PRAL for digital invoicing and to e.FBR for POS retailers, with SRB for Sindh. Pricing is the Rs 1,500/month POS module on top of the Rs 2,500/month Basic plan.
- Honest weaknesses: FBR compliance is a paid module, not bundled; billing is annual; and if you only want a till with no accounting behind it, a POS-only tool is simpler.
- Choose it if: you want the counter, the books and the stockroom in one system with FBR and SRB built in.
- Skip it if: you run a single tiny shop that only needs receipts and no accounting — a free or POS-only tool will do.
2. Candela RMS — the retail chain incumbent
LumenSoft's Candela is one of the most established retail POS names in Pakistan, proven across apparel, footwear, pharmacy and grocery chains with hundreds of outlets. Its on-premise heritage gives it strong offline resilience — useful where connectivity is unreliable — and FBR POS integration is available (as a separately charged add-on). Pricing is contact-sales and quoted per store, and the experience is more traditional retail-management than modern cloud. For a large multi-store retailer that wants a battle-tested system, it remains a benchmark; double-entry accounting is a separate product.
3. Nimbus RMS — Candela's cloud sibling
Nimbus RMS is LumenSoft's cloud retail POS, with the same FBR pedigree (integrated with IRIS and PRAL) and a free account to start. It suits multi-store retailers who want cloud access rather than on-premise. The trade-offs are the usual cloud ones in Pakistan — a weaker offline story than Candela — and pricing tiers that are not published, so you will need to call for a quote.
4. CISePOS — transparent pricing, four tax authorities
CISePOS (from a software house operating since 1988) publishes clear rupee pricing: Basic Rs 2,500/month for sales, Standard Rs 4,500 with inventory, and Premium Rs 7,000 which adds accounts, with a 14-day trial. Its standout is tax coverage — it integrates with all four authorities (FBR, SRB, PRA, KPRA), with tax integration as an add-on around Rs 1,000/month. Extra users and branches cost more, so the price climbs with scale, and full accounting only arrives at the top tier. A strong, transparent option for a compliant retail counter.
5. Oscar POS — retail and restaurant, FBR and SRB
Karachi-based Oscar POS covers both retail and restaurants and markets FBR and SRB compliance pre-integrated at no extra cost, with e-commerce and franchise features alongside. It is an actively marketed, credible local option. The main gap is transparency: pricing is contact-sales, so you cannot compare it against the published-price tools without a call. Ask for the total including any per-branch and hardware costs.
6. Moneypex — POS with full accounting behind it
Moneypex is an all-in-one that puts POS, accounting, inventory and HR in one system, with a retail POS plan around Rs 2,500/month and a genuine offline desktop edition (custom-priced) that keeps the counter running during outages and syncs later. FBR integration is native, auto-transmitting to FBR with the mandatory QR code, and it supports PRA and SRB. It is the closest local analogue to AmalERP's positioning — a till with real books behind it — and worth comparing directly on your own workflows.
7. SadaHisab — FBR integration bundled free
SadaHisab is an ERP-based POS whose headline value is that FBR integration is included free in every plan (connecting directly to PRAL and IRIS), where many rivals charge a monthly or annual fee for it. Plans start at Rs 1,800/month, though there is a one-time setup fee from around Rs 40,000. For a business that wants compliance without a recurring FBR surcharge, the economics are attractive; confirm the offline behaviour and how proven it is at chain scale before committing.
8. OneClick POS — budget FBR-first retail
OneClick POS positions itself around FBR compliance first, with indicative price bands from roughly Rs 2,000–3,500/month for small shops up to Rs 8,000–15,000 for large chains, and real-time FBR invoice reporting built in (PRA is a separate product). It is less of a household name than Candela or Oscar, but for a price-sensitive retailer whose main need is a compliant till, it is a reasonable shortlist entry. Verify the exact plan features for your size before buying.
9. Foodnerd POS — the restaurant specialist
Foodnerd is a restaurant-focused cloud POS used by over a thousand restaurants, with kitchen display, an order app, Foodpanda integration, Urdu support and native FBR and PRA invoicing, backed by offices in several cities. If you run a restaurant rather than a retail shop, a specialist like this handles things (KOT/KDS, aggregator orders) that general retail POS tools do not. Pricing is contact-sales, so ask for a quote per outlet.
10. Granet Pro — offline-first for restaurants and retail
Granet Pro leads with an offline-first design — the POS works fully without internet and syncs later — which is a real advantage in Pakistan. It publishes clear tiers (Rs 2,999/Rs 5,999/Rs 9,999 per month) with restaurant depth like recipe costing and KDS at higher tiers, though FBR/PRA compliance is a Rs 2,000/month add-on rather than bundled, and there is a per-branch setup fee around Rs 50,000. Strong for a restaurant or retailer that prioritises never losing a sale to an outage.
11. Loyverse — free, but no FBR
Loyverse is a genuinely free cloud POS with inventory and loyalty that works globally, including Pakistan, and is well liked by small merchants. For a very small shop that is not a Tier-1 retailer and not under the FBR POS mandate, it is a clean, no-cost starting point. But it has no FBR, SRB or PRA integration of any kind, no local support and no rupee billing — so the moment you fall under the mandate, it cannot keep you compliant.
12. Square, Shopify POS and Lightspeed — why global POS falls short here
Retailers often ask about the big international names, so to be clear: none of them fit a compliant Pakistani business in 2026. Square is not available in Pakistan at all — its card payments do not operate here. Shopify POS works only with Shopify, and Shopify Payments is not available in Pakistan, so you would need third-party gateways. Lightspeed is powerful but dollar-priced with no local support. And none of the three — nor Loyverse, Toast or Zoho POS — offers FBR digital invoicing. They are built for other markets; in Pakistan the FBR requirement rules them out.
How to choose
- Are you a Tier-1 retailer or otherwise under the FBR POS mandate? Shortlist only POS software with native FBR integration — that alone eliminates every international option.
- Retail, restaurant, or both? Restaurants should look at a specialist (Foodnerd, Granet Pro) for KDS and aggregator orders; retail is well served by Candela, Nimbus, CISePOS and Oscar.
- Do you need accounting behind the till? If yes, prefer a POS+ERP (AmalERP, Moneypex, SadaHisab, CISePOS Premium) over a POS-only tool you will outgrow.
- How bad is your connectivity? If outages are frequent, weight true offline mode heavily (AmalERP, Candela, Moneypex desktop, Granet Pro).
- Ask every vendor to show a live FBR receipt with a QR code and FBR invoice number before you pay — and get the all-in price including tax add-on, per-branch and setup fees.
