For most Pakistani businesses in 2026, the best inventory management software is one that tracks stock across locations, handles batches, expiry or serial numbers if you need them, and posts every movement to your accounts and FBR invoices. Our picks: AmalERP for inventory inside a full ERP, Zoho Inventory or Odoo if you want a global product and handle tax elsewhere, and invo.pk or Sortly to start free. Full disclosure: AmalERP is our product, so this guide shows prices, features and weaknesses for all 12, including ours.
What to check before you choose
- Batches and expiry dates — essential for pharmacy, food, cosmetics and FMCG. See our batch and expiry tracking guide.
- Serial or IMEI numbers — essential for mobiles, laptops, batteries and anything under warranty.
- Stock in more than one place — branches, warehouses or a shop plus a godown, with transfers between them.
- How stock is valued — FIFO or weighted average. Both are allowed in Pakistan; LIFO is not. Our FIFO vs weighted average guide explains the difference.
- Barcodes — printing your own labels and scanning them at the counter and during stock counts.
- Does the stock reach your books? If inventory lives in one app and accounts in another, the two drift apart every month.
- FBR — if you are registered for sales tax and covered by digital invoicing, or you are a Tier-1 retailer, the invoice that reduces stock must also reach FBR.

1. AmalERP — inventory inside a full ERP (our product)
AmalERP is our own product, so weigh this entry accordingly. Stock sits inside a full cloud ERP: every purchase, sale, return, transfer and production run updates stock and posts to double-entry accounting at the same moment. It tracks stock across branches and warehouses, by batch with expiry dates and first-expiry-first-out, and by serial or IMEI for phones, laptops and batteries. Optional modules add multi-unit items (buy in cartons, sell in pieces), a barcode-scanned stock audit that reports shortages and posts its own adjustment, bulk barcode label printing to Zebra and TSC printers, and landed cost for imports. Stock is valued at weighted-average cost, updated on every purchase. The Basic plan is Rs 2,500/month and the Multi-location Inventory module Rs 1,200/month, so stock tracking starts at Rs 3,700/month billed annually; FBR and SRB compliance is a Rs 1,000/month module, and there is a 7-day free trial.
- Honest weaknesses: billing is annual; the extras are separate modules (stock audit alone is Rs 2,500/month), so the price climbs as you add them; and the screens are in English.
- Choose it if: you want stock, the counter, the books and FBR in one system, especially with batches, serials or several branches.
- Skip it if: you only need to count a few hundred items in one shop — a free app will do.
2. Zoho Inventory — the polished global option
Zoho Inventory is a mature cloud inventory product with a genuinely free plan: 50 orders a month, one user and two locations. Paid plans are priced per organization and billed annually: Standard US$29/month (500 orders, 2 users, 2 locations), Professional US$79/month, which adds batch and serial tracking, Premium US$129/month, which adds barcode generation and stock counting, and Enterprise US$249/month (all checked October 2026). It works alongside Zoho Books for accounting.
- Honest weaknesses: no FBR digital invoicing or Pakistani tax handling; prices are in US dollars, so the rupee cost moves with the exchange rate; batch tracking needs the US$79 plan and stock counting the US$129 plan.
- Choose it if: you sell online or abroad, are not sales-tax registered, and want a well-supported global product.
- Skip it if: you need FBR-compliant invoices from the same system.
3. Odoo Inventory — powerful, and free as a single app
Odoo's Inventory app is one of the most capable warehouse systems available: multi-warehouse routes, lots and serial numbers, and a barcode app. Odoo lets you run one app free with unlimited users, so a business that only needs inventory can start at zero; adding more apps moves you to the Standard plan at about US$9 per user per month on the regional price list (checked July 2026). FBR digital invoicing is available through third-party modules from Odoo's app store and Pakistani partners, not from Odoo itself.
- Honest weaknesses: setting Odoo up well is a project, and most companies pay a partner to do it; FBR support depends on third-party module vendors keeping up with FBR's changes.
- Choose it if: you have complex warehouses and a budget for implementation.
- Skip it if: you want to be live this week without a consultant.
4. Moneypex — accounting first, with stock alongside
Moneypex is a Pakistani all-in-one covering accounting, sales, inventory, HR and payroll, with published rupee prices: accounting from Rs 2,000/month for one user, Standard Rs 4,500 and Premium Rs 6,000, plus FBR e-invoicing as a Rs 1,000/month add-on (checked July 2026). It is a sensible choice for a small registered trader who wants compliant books with stock in the same place. Its site does not spell out batch or serial tracking, so ask before you buy if you need them.
5. CISePOS — a retail counter with stock and clear prices
CISePOS publishes its rupee tiers: Basic Rs 2,500/month for sales, Standard Rs 4,500 with inventory, and Premium Rs 7,000 with accounts, with a 14-day trial and tax integration for FBR, SRB, PRA and KPRA as an add-on of about Rs 1,000/month (checked July 2026). It suits a shop or small chain that thinks counter-first. Full accounting only arrives on the top tier.
6. SplendidAccounts — accounting, inventory and light manufacturing
SplendidAccounts covers accounting, inventory, POS and light manufacturing for Pakistani SMEs, with FBR digital invoicing through IRIS and PRAL and more than 75 accounting, inventory and analytical reports. Pricing is not published and subscriptions run on a quarterly minimum, so ask for the annual figure and take the 14-day trial first.
7. Hisaab.pk — a long-running local suite
Hisaab.pk (DYS Solutions, Karachi, operating since 2009) offers accounting, inventory and POS, with FBR digital invoicing and help with FBR POS registration. It has a real local support presence. Pricing is quoted on request across its editions, so you will need a call to compare it.
8. Candela RMS — the retail chain incumbent
LumenSoft's Candela is one of the most established retail systems in Pakistan, proven in apparel, footwear, pharmacy and grocery chains with many outlets. Its on-premise heritage gives it strong offline resilience, and FBR POS integration is a separately charged add-on. Pricing is per store on request. For a large multi-store retailer it remains a benchmark; for a single shop it is more than you need.
9. invo.pk — free to start for a single shop
invo.pk is a Pakistani POS with stock built in. Its free plan covers a full POS with receipts, up to 500 products, one branch and two cashiers, and new accounts get a 90-day full-feature trial. The Business plan, priced on request, adds unlimited products, up to three branches, purchase orders with goods received notes, supplier records and stock reports. FBR digital invoicing is listed on the Enterprise plan (all checked October 2026).
- Honest weaknesses: batch, expiry and serial tracking are not listed, and FBR invoicing sits on the top plan.
- Choose it if: you run one shop and want to start at zero cost.
- Skip it if: you sell dated or serialised stock.
10. Elahi Technologies — inventory with FIFO valuation
Elahi Technologies markets inventory software for Pakistani pharmacies, food businesses, electronics dealers and manufacturers, with real-time stock levels, batch numbers with manufacturing and expiry dates, alerts before stock expires, automatic reorder alerts and FIFO stock valuation. Pricing is by demo and quote. If your accountant specifically wants FIFO valuation, it is one of the few local products that says so on its page.
11. Barcodes Pakistan IMS — order-to-dispatch stock control
Barcodes Pakistan's inventory management system covers stock, orders, re-orders, sales, dispatches, quality control, receipts and deliveries, for retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and service businesses. Serial numbers are supported; batch numbers and expiry dates are listed on its own page as coming soon (October 2026). Pricing is by quote.
12. Sortly — the simplest way to start counting
Sortly is a simple, well-designed app for knowing what you have and where. Its free plan covers 100 items and one user. Paid plans billed annually are Advanced at US$24/month (500 items, 2 users, QR labels), Ultra at US$74/month (2,000 items, 5 users, QR and barcode labels, purchase orders) and Premium at US$149/month — but those prices include a 50% first-year discount for new customers, and from the second year the yearly discount is 20% (checked October 2026).
- Honest weaknesses: it tracks items, not accounts — there is no invoicing, costing or FBR; prices are in US dollars; and the headline prices rise after the first year.
- Choose it if: you need to track tools, equipment or a small stockroom, not run sales.
- Skip it if: the stock you count is also the stock you sell and invoice.
What about Excel?
A spreadsheet is a fine stock register for one person and one location. It breaks when two people sell at once, when stock sits in more than one place, or when items carry batches, expiry dates or serial numbers — and it never values stock or posts to your books on its own. Most businesses move off Excel the first time a stock count and the sheet disagree and nobody can say why.
Which one should you pick?
- Pharmacy, food or FMCG with expiry dates: you need batch and expiry tracking — AmalERP, Elahi Technologies, Odoo, or Zoho Inventory on Professional.
- Mobiles, laptops and electronics: you need serial or IMEI tracking — AmalERP, Odoo, Zoho Inventory on Professional, or Barcodes Pakistan.
- Sales-tax registered, or a Tier-1 retailer: keep stock and FBR invoices in one system — AmalERP, Moneypex, CISePOS, SplendidAccounts, Hisaab.pk or Candela.
- One small shop on a tight budget: start free with invo.pk, or Sortly if you do not sell from it.
- Selling online or abroad, not registered for sales tax: Zoho Inventory.
- Complex warehouses with an implementation budget: Odoo.
